I know that there are forces unseen

who each have had a hand in righting

this ship; for you see, I know at my core

that the horizon is a fickle mistress;

the appearance of this ship sinking

is but a mirage from too many days

at sea, alone.  I come here tonight

to wash off the saltwater that stains

my soul, to join with you who believe

all is not lost.  The jonquils have yet

to bloom yellow, yet you and I know

the smiling sunrise awaits.

Let’s all jump up, go running

into the streets shouting, laughing,

singing songs of being found

at last on dry land.  We long to

tell any who will listen that all

is not lost, the ship is merely listing

to the east, and by our joint efforts

the rudder will right herself- the mirage

will no longer fool anyone.  Tonight

the hand of unseen forces joins our circle

and we just know, we just know…
